The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 begins on 12 June and ends on 5 July, with England and Wales playing host across seven venues. For Indian fans, the kick-off comes early. India open against Pakistan at Edgbaston on 14 June, and most evenings in June and July will revolve around an IST-friendly window. Funexchange has already opened markets across every India fixture and the knockouts, with the usual fast settlement and 2% commission stack we keep banging on about.
This post lists the full schedule, key India games converted to IST, and a short note on every venue. Bookmark it. There is one fixture table further down that should answer most questions in a single glance.
Tournament Window At a Glance
Short, sharp, packed.
The competition lasts 24 days. Twelve teams play 33 matches. Group stage runs 12 to 28 June, semi-finals fall on 30 June and 2 July, and the final is on 5 July at Lord’s. England open against Sri Lanka at Edgbaston on day one. India follow 48 hours later in Birmingham as well, and that India v Pakistan opener will set the tone for the whole campaign.
If you are reading this from India, the practical thing to know is that most fixtures begin at 14:30 or 18:30 local time. That translates to either a 19:00 IST start or a 23:00 IST late-night fixture. We have flagged the start time for every India match below.
India’s Five Group Stage Matches (IST)
Eyes on this section.
- India vs Pakistan, 14 June, Edgbaston (Birmingham). Toss 18:30 local, first ball roughly 19:00 IST.
- India vs Netherlands, 17 June, Headingley (Leeds). Afternoon start in England, expected 19:00 IST window.
- India vs South Africa, 21 June, Old Trafford (Manchester). Marquee Group 1 clash.
- India vs Bangladesh, 25 June, Old Trafford (Manchester). Likely a confidence builder before the Australia game.
- India vs Australia, 28 June, London. Last group fixture and almost certainly the decider for top spot in Group 1.
Group stage ends on 28 June. India need two safe wins out of Pakistan, Netherlands and Bangladesh, and at least one big result against South Africa or Australia to be comfortable. Read our wider cricket coverage for build-up coverage from here on in.
The Knockout Fixtures
This is where dreams end or extend.
The two semi-finals are at The Oval in south London on 30 June and 2 July. The final is at Lord’s on 5 July. The first semi pits the Group 1 winner against the Group 2 runner-up. The second flips the script: Group 2 winner versus Group 1 runner-up. If India top Group 1, the semi date is 30 June. If they finish second, the semi falls on 2 July. Either way the final, should they get there, is a Sunday evening Indian time.
Group 1 Full Schedule
India share Group 1 with Australia, South Africa, Pakistan, Bangladesh and the Netherlands. Each side plays five games. The other key fixtures to watch include Australia v South Africa, which is effectively a dress rehearsal for a possible semi-final, and Pakistan v Bangladesh, which always carries an edge regardless of form.
Group 2 Full Schedule
Group 2 holds England, New Zealand, West Indies, Sri Lanka, Ireland and Scotland. Defending champions New Zealand are the team to beat here, with England likely to top the group on home soil. The Group 2 opener is England v Sri Lanka at Edgbaston on 12 June. Ireland and Scotland make their first appearances at a Women’s T20 World Cup in years, giving the group some unfamiliar story lines.
Where Each Match Is Played
Seven grounds, seven characters.
| Venue | City | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Edgbaston | Birmingham | Tournament opener and the India v Pakistan clash. Big crowds expected. |
| Lord’s | London | Hosts the final on 5 July. Slope and tradition included. |
| The Oval | London | Both semi-finals. Fast outfield, true pitches, runs on the board matter. |
| Old Trafford | Manchester | Two India group games. Pitches can grip more than at the southern venues. |
| Headingley | Leeds | Hosts India v Netherlands. Lively conditions if the cloud comes in. |
| Rose Bowl | Southampton | Group fixtures only. Consistent batting surface. |
| County Ground | Bristol | Group fixtures only. Short straight boundaries help finishers. |
Timing Notes for IST Viewers
British Summer Time is IST minus 4 hours 30 minutes. So a 14:30 local start is 19:00 IST. An 18:30 local start is 23:00 IST. That late slot is the one Funexchange traders track most closely, because match markets settle into Indian evening leisure hours and in-play volume picks up sharply. We currently move 11,800 withdrawals a month, more than enough proof that match nights stay busy.
